Duration: 4 Hours.

The Bite is designed to be highly interactive, in order to hold each participant’s attention and interest in the program.

Did You Hear?

Now you can mitigate Gossips!

It starts out innocently enough… perhaps… with someone in the break room saying, “Isn’t it a shame about Jack?” Clueless, you reply, “What about Jack?” “Don’t you know about what happened with him?” When you answer in the negative, your colleague seizes the moment to fill you in on all the gory details of Jack’s ongoing mistakes with none other than your boss! and poor Jack is now in being subject to receiving a warning! Or worst.. He will not since he is backed up!

Gossips in the workplace became a universal dilemma, at some places more than others, yet it is there! No matter what we do about it. Sometime it spreads so fast just like the Flu virus!

This is what this 4 hours bite is made just for… not to cure! But to offer some sort of relief, similar to vaccinations. We jump in, give it a gentle reminder of how false, serious, negative and misleading gossips are!

This 4-Hour Bite will help participants:

  • Understand what Behavioral Interviewing is all about.
  • Be able to differentiate between Technical & Performance Skills
  • Use traditional, behavioral, achievement oriented, holistic, and situational interview questions.
  •   Enhance communication skills that are essential for a skilled interviewer.

Training Bite Contents

Introduction and Bite Overview

The Trainer will spend the first fifteen minutes of the first session getting to know participants and discussing in an activity related directly to gossiping.

What are Ethics & why bother with them?

To start the bite, we will discuss what the words “ethics” and “morals” mean. Participants will also have an opportunity to identify some of their personal values. We will also look at some of the payoffs of ethical behavior.

22 Keys to an Ethical Office

Ethics expert Nan DeMars has identified 22 keys to help make your office ethical. We will review these keys in a lecture, and then participants will be asked to identify some ways to use the ideas to help resolve areas of ethical concern in their office.

What to Do When You Make a Mistake

Let’s face the truth: we’re all human. We all make mistakes and make decisions that we wish we could take back. This session will examine Nan DeMars’ six-step plan for recovering from mistakes gracefully instead of gossiping to get out of our way and be reminded if we gossiped about others we will surely be gossiped at when its out turn as human to make a mistake!!

Face On or Face Off

How confident are we to keep our faces on when we speak about others? Or it is always to have our faces off? During this session we will discuss and feel the relationship between gossips and self-confidence, how we should face gossips and regardless of our So Called “Good Intentions” we might end up being simply Gossiping!

Bite Wrap-Up

At the end of the bite, participants will be called in into an easygoing confrontation session. Speak out freely, play the old telephone game, and agree on an open ethical code.
